Statement of Faith
Highlighted below is a summary of the church’s doctrinal statement.
THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible, consisting of all the books of the Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God; a supernaturally given revelation without error or misstatement in moral and spiritual teachings and record of historical facts.
GOD
We believe in the Trinity. That the eternal Godhead manifests Himself in Three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God but separate in personality and work.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the diety of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious death and atonement through His blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right Hand of the Father, and His personal and visible return in power and glory.
MAN
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he was tempted by Satan and fell, and that because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary for salvation.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the Third Person in the Trinity, though omnipresent from all eternity, took up His abode in the world in a special sense on the Day of Pentecost according to the divine promise and dwells in every Believer. That the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is strongly recommended for every Christian. That the Fruit of the Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit in the lives of Believers are visible demonstration of His presence.
RESURRECTION
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
COMMISSION
We believe that God’s plan for this age as expressed in the Great Commission involves the Evangelization of the World through the witness of every believer in Jesus Christ, and the making of disciples through the teaching of His Word in the local church as a means of accomplishing His purpose.
